PYO's weekly Drop-in is up and running!
PYO's weekly Social Support Drop-in is for HIV-positive youth under 30. We share experiences, information and offer support to each other. There is always a meal, weekly activities such as movies, art and workshops and great poz folks for you to chill with.
The Drop-in happens every Thursday from 4-8pm @ PYO.
The Social Group for HIV-positive young women, ladies, mamas, grrls, sistahs, and trans women is happening!
PYO's Women's Social will continue to be held in partnership with Voices of Positive Women. This is open to all ladies, including Trans-Women, under the age of 30. It is a place for young HIV positive women to chill out, share experiences and connect with each other. There is always food and fun activities like workshops, art or movies. A childcare subsidy is available..
The Women's PYO happens on the

We're Making ANOTHER Zine!!
Feelin' creative?
We're putting together another issue of RECHARGE, PYO's
own 'zine for youth by youth! If you have something you'd
like to see in it - a poem, a story, an article, whatever!

UPCOMING PYO EVENTS!!!!
The PYO Drop In will be continuing EVERY Thursday all throughout the summer months. Drop In is an excellent time to either hang out with new friends, paint a priceless piece of art, make jewellery, use a computer or have an excellent dinner. Planned activities will be announced as they are coordinated - so stay tuned!
The PYO Program Coordinator was invited and selected to be a Canadian Delegate to attend the 2008 UNGASS (United Nations General Assembly Special Session on HIV/AIDS). The event is took place June 10 and 11, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
Following the UNGASS meeting the PYO Coordinator and a volunteer from PYO's Advisory Committee went to Ottawa June 12 to 15, for the Canadian AIDS Society (CAS) annual PHA Forum, followed by their Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Also coming up is the bi-annual International AIDS Conference, taking place this year in Mexico City, from July 31 to August 9. Thanks to the generousity of the Ontario government, several scholarship were made available for people living with HIV to attend. Hope to see some of you there!!!
